Disability Services

DisabilityServices

We have programs for clients living in the Eastern Division of Melbourne.  Our programs provide one to one support for clients with a disability aged 18 years and over. We assist clients to maximise their life skills, provide support to live as independently as they choose and build capacity to exercise choice and self-advocacy.

As part of our approach, support workers assist each client to develop their goals detailing what they want to learn from the program.  These goals are reviewed throughout the duration of service.

Our role is to help our clients achieve their goals by working with them, not doing it for them.

Community Support Program

The Community Support Program assists people with a disability to develop the life skills needed to become more independent in their community.

Support takes place in the client's home for two hours per week for up to two years in duration. Skill development areas can include budgeting, cooking, cleaning, shopping and developing menu plans.

This program is funded by the Department of Health and Human Services, Victoria.

Client testimonial….

“Harrison’s Community Support Program helped me learn to cook meals by myself so I don’t have to rely on Mum every day and sometimes I cook a meal for her”…
